About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic Grade 5 English Teacher to strengthen language, literature, and communication skills in primary students. In this role, you will design engaging lessons covering reading comprehension, creative writing, grammar, and vocabulary. You will cultivate critical thinking, literary appreciation, and articulate expression to prepare students for middle school English curriculum.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver interactive English lessons focusing on advanced comprehension, grammar, and creative writing.
• Evaluate student reading levels, essay writing, and language progress through regular activities and feedback.
• Maintain a vibrant, structured classroom environment that encourages student expression and confident participation.
• Communicate student learning milestones and literacy progress with parents and school leadership regularly.

Skills Required

• Strong command of Grade 5 English curriculum, phonics, grammar rules, and literature.
• Creative activity design and storytelling skills to engage young learners.
• Patient classroom management techniques and positive student reinforcement strategies.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills for interacting with students and parents.
• Basic proficiency in using educational technology, smartboards, and interactive teaching tools.

Eligibility

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in English, Literature, Education (B.Ed.), or related field.
• Certification: Valid state teaching certification or teaching accreditation.
• Experience: 1–3 years of experience teaching primary school English.
